The Morning a Farmer Was Invited Aboard

It was a cool spring morning on 8 May 1978 in the quiet village of Emilcin, Lublin Voivodeship, eastern Poland. Seventy-one-year-old farmer Jan Wolski set out early as usual in his horse-drawn cart to tend his fields.

Around 5 am, while travelling a familiar forest path near a small clearing, he spotted two figures walking ahead in the same direction. They wore tight black one-piece suits and moved with peculiar short hops or jumps rather than normal strides.

As Jan's cart caught up, the figures turned toward him. They were short, only about 4.5 to 5 feet tall with distinctly green-tinged skin, big slanted almond-shaped black eyes, high cheekbones and webbed hands with only four fingers. The beings made soft chirping or cooing sounds and gestured friendly for him to stop. To his own surprise, Jan felt no fear at all only curiosity as he moved closer.

The Strange Walk to the Craft

The beings motioned for Jan to follow them off the path into a nearby forest clearing. He tied his horse and walked with them. There, hovering silently about 5 metres above ground, was a large white rectangular craft approximately 5 metres long and 2.5 metres high.

"They invited me with gestures, like 'come with us'. I felt calm, no fear at all."
– Jan Wolski

A platform lowered from the bottom of the craft like a lift. The beings then gestured repeatedly for Jan to step on to the platform and he did so willingly, still holding his cap in hand.

Inside the Craft

The interior was a single dark room with black walls and no visible furniture except two tubular benches along the sides. The air felt fresh. Two more identical beings were already inside.

The beings communicated entirely through gestures and chirping sounds. They signalled Wolski to remove his clothes. He took off his shirt and trousers but kept his underwear. They examined him using a device like two shallow dishes joined by a flexible tube – scanning his body front and back without touching him.

After the scan, one being offered a tray with pale icicle-like objects. Jan took one, bit it, and it crumbled into powder instantly. The beings nodded approvingly as if encouraging him to eat.

The entire procedure lasted only minutes. They helped him dress again and escorted him back to the lift platform.

The Departure and Aftermath

The platform lowered Jan back to the ground, and then retracted once more inside the craft. The craft then rose silently upward, then accelerated very rapidly away and vanished. Jan returned to his cart and continued his day, arriving home later than usual.

He told his family immediately. His sons noticed broken branches and compressed grass in the clearing. Two young boys who were playing nearby independently reported seeing a "white bus-like object" hovering low and flying away.

Investigations and Credibility

News of Jans encounter spread quickly. Polish ufologists arrived within days. Investigators found four rectangular depressions in the grass and unusual footprints.

Wolski underwent hypnosis (revealing no new details) and passed multiple polygraph tests. He drew sketches of the craft, beings, and device.

Researchers praised his sincerity, lack of embellishment, and refusal of money or fame. He repeated the same calm account until his death in 1990.

The Emilcin Monument

In 2005, villagers erected a memorial stone at the sit. A concrete cube with inscription in Polish states: "On 8 May 1978 in Emilcin a UFO object landed. The truth will astonish us in the future."

It remains a pilgrimage spot for UFO enthusiasts across Europe.

Final Verdict

THE FARMER WHO WAS INVITED INSIDE. In a quiet Polish forest clearing, an elderly farmer with no interest in the extraordinary calmly stepped aboard a craft at the invitation of small green beings. He described a brief, non-threatening examination with gestures and chirps instead of words. Independent witnesses saw the object. Traces marked the ground. Decades later, his village built a monument to the event.

Jan Wolski passed away in 1990 but never wavered even slightly in his story of what happened that day, he never profited from it and never feared what he experienced. The Emilcin abduction remains one of Europe's most compelling cases in UFO lore. Not for drama or terror, but for its gentle strangeness and the unbreakable consistency with which Jan told his story. When the beings gestured "come with us" and he did without hesitation, something profound crossed between worlds. RIP Jan, I hope "The truth will astonish.." the whole World soon.
