The Documentary That Dared to Ask Again

December 16th 2025. After decades of blurry footage, huge plaster casts of footprints, and campfire tales, a brand new documentary stepped into the deep woods with fresh eyes and cutting-edge tools. American Sasquatch: Man, Myth or Monster is not just another Bigfoot film, it's a comprehensive investigation that brings together the most compelling evidence yet, from eyewitness testimonies to potential DNA breakthroughs, all while asking the question that has haunted America for centuries: is Sasquatch/Bigfoot real?

I'll cut right to the chase here: Some of the footage is incredible but it's the sounds that have been recorded that blew my tiny mind. The sounds really do seem to have a pattern to them, like the Sasquatch really do seem to be having a chat with each other. Then to top it off the interviews with the witnesses, native American trackers, and professionals that have seen Bigfoot/Sasquatch up close will send a shiver up your spine.

Short Bits & Pieces from the Documentary

The documentary starts off with a serious tone the subject matter requires. First up is a clip from Michael Freeman (son of Paul Freeman, a Ranger that worked in the Blue Ridge Mountains) of ***something*** that looks to me like a huge, hairy humanoid figure casually walking, on 2 legs, through the woods. It's 100% not a bear, I don't know what it is, but it's not a bear... Then a short scene with researcher M.K. Davis who points out the similarity's between this creature and the one seen in the famous Patterson–Gimlin Bigfoot footage.

Then we're moving on to a short but fascinating discussion on whether Bigfoot/Sasquatch could be an interdimensional creature, this is a great scene that plants the idea that expands during the rest of the documentary. Then it's on to articles from the 1600's dealing with sightings of Bigfoot, including reports from 1924 of miners (I done a story on this, search for "bigfoot" and it's the story of Ape Canyon 1924: Five Miners go to War With Giant Apemen), and how the Native American people simply see Bigfoot/Sasquatch as just another tribe.

Next up is a very well done debunk of one of the latest Bigfoot/Sasquatch sightings that got hyped on the internet not so long ago. "Caribou Bigfoot" refers to viral footage from a 2001 documentary "Great North" where a shadowy, humanoid figure runs with or near a herd of caribou, leading cryptozoology enthusiasts to claim it's an accidentally captured Sasquatch. David and his team get access to original 4K resolution of the footage and it clearly shows a guy with a backpack, possibly on a bike, and not a Bigfoot/Sasquatch.

By they way, this is only the first 15 mins of the documentary, there is another 1 hours and 23 minutes of great stuff to go!

Key Highlights from the Film

The documentary covers:

  • New high-definition trail cam footage from the Pacific Northwest
  • Interviews with recent eyewitnesses, including law enforcement and military personnel
  • Analysis of the latest DNA claims from alleged Sasquatch hair samples
  • Expeditions to hotspot areas like the Olympic Peninsula and Bluff Creek
  • Interviews with the great Tim Burchett
  • Discussions with leading researchers including Dr. Jeff Meldrum and the BFRO team

Notable Moments and Quotes

One of the film's most powerful segments features a former park ranger recounting a daylight encounter:

"It wasn't a bear. It wasn't a man in a suit. It was something else. Something that looked at me like it knew I was there, and then just walked away into the trees."
– Eyewitness testimony

It's incredibly rare to get an actual Park Ranger to talk about this kind of thing on camera let alone get them to openly talk about their own Bigfoot/Sasquatch encounter. I loved this interview. The Native American lady who gave her account, I don't want to give too much away here obviously, was incredibly believable and also incredibly scary. And the one with the lady that say huge yellow eyes looking at her through her window. Her window is 8.5FEET off the ground. Then there is the Blue Vortex/Portal footage... holy crap.

I could go on and on with example after example of great content in this documentary to be honest. If you are even remotely interested in the subject then YES this documentary is well worth paying for, it really is. I watched it on Amazon Prime Video and it is only around $10 to buy it in my area as of 16th December 2025., you can also rent it for much less if you wish. It's 1hr 38mins of great content told in a great way that, after watching it, you still think "it's just a bear" then I don't know what to tell you.

Final Verdict

American Sasquatch: Man, Myth or Monster (2025) doesn't claim to have all the answers, which is great because it is ok to say "I don't know" what it is. But, it DOES present the strongest case for the existence of Sasquatch/Bigfoot I've seen so far, that's for sure. There's tons of new footage I have no personally seen before, a lot of absolutely credible witnesses who are all absolutely believable, a US Navy linguistic specialist who identifies speech patterns in the sounds, and DNA scientific analysis that does indeed suggest something very weird (I don't want to spoil it here).

After watching it I'm sitting here absolutely convinced there is absolutely 100% **SOMETHING*** in the woods, the question isn't "if" anymore. It's not a man in a Gorilla costume playing pranks on people, that is for sure. There as a good amount of actual "WTF!" moments in the documentary, and not to spoil anything, but when you see the "Blue vortex/portal" footage I'd like someone to explain that to me. I really would.
